As students return to classrooms across Fulton County Schools, a districtwide effort is emphasizing one of the most important factors in student success: being present. Through the “95% to Thrive” attendance campaign, schools across the district are encouraging students and families to make daily attendance a priority and recognize the lasting impact it has on learning, engagement, and achievement.

Lauren Malekebu brings more than 26 years of experience in K-12 education - serving as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, mentor, and district and school administrator throughout Orange County Public Schools (Florida), Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (North Carolina), and most recently in Fulton County Schools as the principal of Haynes Bridge Middle School since 2011.
